Manhattanville College is a private, coeducational liberal arts college located in Purchase, which is a hamlet of the town of Harrison, in Westchester County, in the US state of New York.
The college was established in 1841 and was initially known as Manhattanville College of the Sacred Heart. It is a highly ranked liberal arts institution, offering educational programs in dozens of areas of study, at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, including the four-year Bachelor of Arts degree to undergraduate students and the M.A. and Ed. D. for graduate students.
Manhattanville's athletic teams are known as the Valiants and they compete in NCAA Division III, with 21 sports teams. Their distinctive colors are crimson and white.
